“TheNID™ System with Reel reduces deployment times and installation costs by eliminating on-site splicing,” explained Charles Hoskins, vice president of product development. “Each unit features a durable plastic housing pre-loaded with 50, 100, or 150 feet of pre-terminated fiber on a reel. Simply install the housing, unroll the fiber reel to your placement location, and connect it to the network.

The NID™ Fiber Entry Terminal (FET) is made of high-impact thermoplastic and is preloaded with a spool. The loose spool is shipped from the factory with weather-resistant micro-armored single-mode fiber with a quick-install SC/APC bullet tip. Additional features include: flat or round cable entry support; standard box key spool lock; standard box key spool lock; watertight gasket; 1″ diameter conduit inlets; integrated copper electrical ground lug.
