Thorn and Zumtobel UK and Ireland, the lighting brands of the Zumtobel Group, are pleased to announce their partnership with Cancer Research UK as their chosen charity for the 2024/25 financial year. Following an internal poll, staff voted overwhelmingly in favor of Cancer Research UK, in recognition of the crucial role the organization plays in the fight against cancer.
Cancer survival rates have improved significantly over the years. In the 1970s, only 1 in 4 people with cancer survived their disease for ten years or more. Today, that number has doubled to 2 in 4 people. Cancer Research UK aims to accelerate progress so that in the next 20 years 3 in 4 people will survive cancer for at least a decade.
