AC surge protectors use thermally protected Metal Oxide Capacitor (MOV) technology. MOV provides rapid reaction to voltage spikes, stabilizing overvoltage levels almost instantaneously.
Outdoor surge protectors come in panel-mounted NEMA 4X enclosures that keep out dirt, dust, and water. Other features include low voltage protection ratings and LED status indicators. In addition, no external backup fuse is required.
