A pressure group consisting of car manufacturers and other companies urged US President Donald Trump to resume a federal infrastructure program during the Biden era, after stopping this week.
On Friday, the Trump administration has officially suspended the National Electric Cars Infrastructure Program (NEVI), a $ 5 billion infrastructure bill approved by the Biden Administration to create a federal shipping network. After this announcement, the EDTA electric transportation association, a group of cars that represent the interests of electric cars (EV) in General Motors (GM), Stellantis, Toyota and others, Trump to re -evaluate the decision.
“Investments to impose fees on stations and refueling create job opportunities and expand consumer transport options in every state,” said Jenvv Coleen, EDTA president, in a statement. “Nevi, which has been created in partisan legislation, is a truly effective element in the strategic energy policy that enhances American innovation, local investment and energy security.”

“We urge the administration to resume the decisive work of the program quickly and reduce the uncertainty of the states and its actions, who invested in the infrastructure to serve the local and national goals for advanced transport,” he added.
Since traffic, NEVI funding has only had a total of 126 public shipping ports in nine states. Many critics of the program said that publishing the stations was very slow for the amount of funding he had hoped to distribute.
The Trump administration has also declined Biden emissions, including one to make half of all vehicles sold in the United States of electric by 2030.
