Chinese energy giants Cinopk and CATL to build 10,000 EV battery exchange stations

Two of the largest energy companies in China have announced plans to build a battering network in the country, with 500 stations that are built this year, on the way to building a total of 10,000.

On Monday, in Beijing, China Petroleum and Chemical Company, known as Cinopk, one of the largest integrated energy and chemical companies in China, announced a framework agreement with Catl Amprex Technology Co.

Together, the two companies aim to “take advantage of their strengths to accelerate the development of the ecosystems of battery exchange” and unify operations.

The two companies aim to build “less” than 500 battery swap stations in 2025 alone, with a long -term goal to build 10,000 stations to create a smooth “clear swap” experience for Electric car owners (EV) throughout China.

Sinopec, which includes an extensive network of 30,000 integrated power plants across China, also includes 28,000 easy -to -rest stores, and more than 10,000 high -speed charging stations.

On the contrary, Catl is already proud of partnerships with leading car manufacturers including Changan, GAC A, Baic, Saic, Hongqi, NIO and major truck producers such as Sinotruk and Foton, with the aim of offering operating passengers and commercials.

Interestingly, the news also comes just a few weeks after the Catl and NIO announcement of their strategic partnership to provide the largest battery replacement network in the world.

As with the latest agreement with Sinopec, the Catl and NIO partnership also aims to focus on unifying industry technologies.

Sinopec and CATL partnership depends on a relationship in power, storage and advanced materials, and will expand to create MicroGrids for Smart Energy, Energy, Energy Storage, Shipping, Brain and Battery Examination.
