The distribution of the new local power compound distribution brings two larger electric trucks to Australia, which increases its fleet offers for hydrogen and electrical cars.
Foton currently announces four new energy vehicles on its Australian website-a 12.4-meter hydrogen bus, a 12.5-meter electric bus, an EV 4.5 ton truck, and an EV concrete truck.
T5 has been launched by many Australian companies, including Woolworths, Bunnings and Ausgrid, and Foton now says it will introduce new trucks 8.5 tons and 18 tons to the squad in the second half of 2025.
“We had 4.5 tons (GVM), which many companies have not been able to bring here, and this is the largest sector in the light truck market,” said Neil Wang, CEO and Foton Mobility Distribution.
“You can also put a Tiber body on and upgrade it to six tons, you can get a pantic body or a refrigerator, even an alloy tray, making it very versatile. It can also pull 3.5 tons, with an eight tons of GCM.
The two new variables will include 18 tons that will be available in the wheel bases-4500 mm and 5500 mm. The electric truck is designed with the Catl 281 kW battery, to meet the energy and the required range of medium trucks in the service, and it is already available for order, with the expectation of the first delivery operations in September.
Foton also plans to conduct experiments with many medium large truck operators in the fourth quarter of 2025.
In the wake of a variable of 18 tons, an 8.5 -ton electric truck will be for the light truck sector, which is usually used in applications ranging from construction, delivery and public charging. The variable timing is 8.5 tons, later this year.
