BYD delivered 1000 Atto 3 in South Korea, just a month and a half after the start of deliveries on April 14. Atto 3 sold 543 units in South Korea in April, bypassing the long -term Tesla.

BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has completed delivery operations that include 1,000 units of compressed electrical SUVs (sports facilities vehicle) ATTO 3 in South Korea in less than two months, which represents the initial success of the new Chinese energy vehicle maker (NEV) in the market.
BYD Korea announced today that 1000 Atto 3 was delivered in the Seoul SEOCO showroom on May 28, according to a report issued by Korea Commercial today.
This comes only a month and a half after the model began delivery in South Korea on April 14. Atto 3 is known as Yuan Plus in China.
As of last month, the age distribution of Atto 3 was relatively balanced, as it represented 20-30 years of children 20 percent, those in the 1940s compared to 30 percent, those in the fifties of age compared to 32 percent, and more than 60 percent compared to 18 percent, according to the report.
BYD officially entered the South Korean passenger vehicle market on January 16, where Atto 3 came, after entering the commercial vehicle market in the Asian country several years ago.
The company had originally planned to start delivery of Atto 3 in South Korea by mid -February, but the schedules for delivery were delayed until mid -April due to the subsidy certificate bottlenecks.
Atto 3 soon became a success in South Korea during the first week of launch, with more than 1,000 prior requests, according to a report issued by Korea’s daily economic earlier this month.
The model sold 543 units in South Korea in April, transcending Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) Y Long Range Edition 533 350 -term units of 350 units, according to data from the Korea Association for Cars and Consultants distributed in the report.
In April, a total of 3,712 EVS imported in South Korea was sold, where ATTO 3.6 percent of the market share, according to the report.
Atto 3 was launched for the first time in China in February 2022 as the first global model for BYD. The car is currently enjoying a start price of 115,800 yuan ($ 16340) in China.
