New York granted $ 3 million to companies to help connect electric cars to the network. One of the beneficiaries is Voltpost, and he specializes in converting Lamposts to level charging stations 2. The state is now ranked second behind California for the number of active public charging stations.
New York electric vehicle mutation began to appear a lot like California.
The state now has the second largest number of public shipping stations (nearly 18,000) in the country after California (approximately 58,000). Its unique challenges are also attracting unique solutions in a very transparent time for the EV sector.
A few days after the approval of the Big Beautiful Bill from the Trump Administration – which cuts the EV tax credits and withdraws federal support for clean energy programs – New York State sent a completely different message.
The state granted millions in the integration of its auto network, which focuses on the EV and the network. Part of the grant went into a project that transforms the current street infrastructure, such as LampPosts, into Curbside charging stations.
New York City streets and heavy urban planning are facing long challenges for EV. But now, the city adopts innovative carca charging designs designed for its unique environment.
Of 3 million dollars granted on Tuesday by the New York State Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), nearly $ 800,000 went to Voltpost, a specialist in converting lamp posts in the streets into levels of 2 levels.

Voltpost is already active in New York City, as well as Detroit and Ok Park, Illinois. The company says it can convert Lampost to a 2 -level charging station in less than an hour, avoid loud construction and reduce costs.
Shipping is not smooth like Shahal Tesla, as the owners can connect and walk away. Users still have to authenticate with an application using the fast response code. But most importantly, these stations are saving space and can help the prosperous EV fleet in the city with more places to connect them.
Many other shipping companies have their own creative solutions, making New York City a hot point for pavement charger innovation. The Brooklyn -based ITSELECTRIC company directs the elegant levels that mix in the streets. Google -backed Gravity plans to plan the fast charging devices that seem compressed such as typical level 2 units, thanks to the smart packaging. The pavement shipments from Chargepoint and the Canadian company FLO have become an increasingly common scene in the city.
NYSERDA has allocated another $ 4 million, which will be given to companies that can “solve data collection and transfer data and operational challenges facing facilities when combining electric cars, regardless of the supplier, with the electric network.” This is in addition to 21 million dollars announced last year to build fast DC shipping stations along the highways of the state and 60 million dollars compared to 267 fast -charging booths in New York City.
Passengers have problems, though. One of them is gas cars that operate EV charging points. While Curbside’s charger in New York City is proud of impressive statistics, with 99 % of operating time and more than 70 %, approximately 20 % of EV sites are prohibited by gas vehicles, according to city data.
However, innovations such as Voltpost’s help in bread in the social fabric in New York City and we hope the rest of the United States will also be. If the pavement shipment works smoothly here, this may be a plan for other large American cities.

Just two years ago, the scene in New York was largely imagined. I have waited in long lines in a charger in Brooklyn, and sometimes I have paid across the town only to find a station available and have no payment fees. Today, it is a different story. The increasing network of Tesla charger, the state -funded EvOLVE NY stations and the expanding RIRE network, has made fast charging very easier.
The shift is remarkable. Shipping stations have become everywhere, innovations that are shipped along with the sidewalk indicate more exciting EV.
