Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 long -term review

Last update in: July 25, 2025, 01:22 pm

Last year, Ecoflow contacted me to find out if I was interested in testing the new DELTA Pro 3.

I test

Unfortunately, my RV plans did not come out with the speed I have been. Therefore, during the first few months, I ended up using Delta Pro 3 around the house. One of the circles in my house had very many things, to a large extent because the house was not built with the cooler air into consideration. Therefore, we used the power station to play my photo and video editing platform, which is a powerful pig. In this role, he performed a flawless performance. We were receiving it elsewhere in the house that had a backup capacity, then we manage the power station to the room where the computer was when we needed it.

Later in the year, she finally got a travel trailer. Unfortunately, I could not get the small cart and pull it with Chevy Bolt, and it was temporarily ended with a return to the gas to pull it at the present time. In addition, my family wanted the largest vehicle, which means that the energy needs of the AC pump and the heat pump will rise, which means that I need a stretch battery.

I ended up with a semi -permanent installation of the power plant in my travel trailer. This requires a reintegration of 3O -P wires to the area under the main bed, then return to the rope, so I still can connect RV gardens naturally. Under the bed, I installed the 30-AP port and a 30-year-old, which makes it possible to overcome the entire power plant while it is in RV Parks with Hookups. However, when it is outside the network, it is possible to turn on everything, including two new circuits for the electric oven range and the extent of definition, outside the battery.

To be more efficient, I also exceeded the 12 -volt power transformer for the trailer (the thing that converts 120 AC energy to 12 volt DC when the vehicle is connected), which will use only about 40 watts in lethargy. Delta Pro 3 contains a DC output that has been able to connect it directly to the battery stations by the trailer. The problem has been solved.

After that, I added 12 volts computer fan to the front of the bed to make sure that the unit always gets the fresh air, along with a venting slot on the side near the back of the unit until the heat comes out. This greatly helped maintain battery temperatures in a good domain and keep the unit from having any major problems or thermal closure (something I did not experience even before the fan).

Goodness

With a test/methodology, let’s talk about what Ecoflow did properly.

First, I have not had any problem with withdrawing more than the ingredient energy of the unit. During one station for dinner in the Ozrk comfort area on I-40 in Arkansas, we decided to cook a frozen dinner. This requires the operation of the microwave to remove the ice from lasagna at the same time as heating the small electric roasted oven. The weather was hot, so we also ran air conditioning. All this together, at least when the oven heating element was working, pulling this about 4000 watts without an obstacle.

The unit was also multi -use enough to deal with almost all energy needs during camping. The second battery, which doubles 8 kW of the hour, enables an old air conditioner, not very effective for 9 hours on hot summer nights. This means that Boondocking in heat was not a problem.

Getting the battery full before bed is not a problem either. I currently have 1,800 watts of solar energy (the cart has solar around the ceiling and front), which means that the insertion of energy in the real world was about 1200-1500 watts in most places during peak hours. The unit also enjoys the ability to work with smart generators in Ecoflow, which can quickly add a little additional energy before bed and help distribute it in the morning for breakfast. But I used this very little, as I only needed about 20 hours of birth time in a month of nearly a month of camping.

Everyone in all, I relied on Delta Pro 3 and the additional battery for about 5 weeks this year, and did not leave me unable to run the things I wanted to run.

Moderate bad

It is important to consider the power plants from any factory is that they are computers. Like any computer, sometimes you should “turn off and return again” to get previous errors. In 5 weeks of camping, I had to do this three times.

The first time, Delta Pro 3 started warning me of the electric short pants and closing the electrical output. This was clearly a great cause of anxiety, because I am difficult to satisfy a little and do not like the idea of burning the cart. But I lost all the wires and did not find shorts. In addition, the electric short pants do not tend to appear without anything that harms the wires. This left me a little confusing and left me without salad for a few minutes.

However, when I searched online, I discovered that the problem was with Delta Pro 3. Reddit users reported that separating any input energy (including solar energy), turning off the unit, and keeping the power button for ten seconds that would reset BMS and Power Computer. Either way, this has restored everything to normal.

The other mistake I faced with the cell balance was when sleeping in the parking square in Bass Pro stores. Around the middle of the night during the night, the closed current and the unit is zero. When I log in to the app, I saw that the power plant had completely exhausted itself while not taking any energy from the second battery package. It made a quick reset for both the battery and the power plant everything works again, and we used energy in the second battery to stay cold until morning (hot Nashville in June and July, especially with all of that moisture!).

The main meals here: You should know how to reset any power station you own, because I saw all brands do this kind of things. It is also good to maintain updated power station interviews, as many Gremlins are removed as such. After the update, I did not see the electric short pants error again, but I will have to know whether it was permanently fixed.

The only thing that I hope will do the station is to send a payment notification if you stop the energy to give you an opportunity to reset it.

Ugly

I only have one major complaint about Delta Pro 3: Treat it with AC Energy.

When I first renovate the cart and electricity, I connected Delta Pro 3 on the frequency power and operated my air conditioner. Once the vehicle decreases to the specified temperature from the inside, the repulsive current compressor will be stopped. After that, when the compressor continues again, it will happen equal to a moment of more than 2000 watts before settling in about 1200-1300 watts. This often causes the unit to be issued and the energy is closed.

When it is not connected to the beach energy, the unit can handle the high pregnancy a moment of the frequent current compressor that kicks fine. As I also saw, it was not up to 4 kWh off the network.

What I discovered in doing more testing and experimentation is that the unit limits the total total energy to about 1,800 watts when it is connected to the network. Determining low input levels did not help, as it would pass everything you use in addition to the amount of energy it tells it can be used for charging. In other words, energy and output inputs do not work independently when the unit is withdrawn on the frequency power.

I managed to circumvent this problem by bypassing the power plant in the RV gardens, using the components and the bowl that I previously described in this article. I usually set it to take 800 watts of a 20-AP bowl, and I still have a lot of energy in connection 3O amp for the microwave, refrigerator and AC.

Some people have toured this by buying an AC-DC power source and nutrition energy at Delta Pro 3 through a solar charging ports. Although this will work (assuming that you provide effort and specifications within the specifications of the inputs), I am already using DC solar input outlets. Therefore, at least, at least, I will need to follow up on the power station when the vehicle is connected.

Final ideas

Despite the one bad thing (the boundaries of the passers -by) and the simple annoyance of reset the power plant at times, I still recommend Delta Pro 3 for most buyers. About the only app that I avoid using it is a backup of critical and unlikely power. If you cannot be there or soon to reset the power plant, do not share the lives of anyone (such as a pet in the cart in a hot place, for example) to operate it properly.

Otherwise, it is a fairly decent power plant that should serve anyone well in camping, riving or for power backup purposes.
