Even before AFIR (organizing alternative fuel infrastructure) on April 13, 2024, has already sparked many discussions inside this industry. In particular, a condition must have to have all the newly installed charging stations with a charging capacity of 50 kW or more on a payment station that caused a large controversy.
The relevant regulation states the following: “At the generally accessible freight points that were installed on April 13, 2024, or after, it must be possible to use a fee using a large -scale payment tool in the union. To achieve this purpose, the shipping points operators must accept electronic payments in these points through stations and devices used in payment services (…).
Mobility House now provides Hyc49, a fast charger, with a maximum of 49.9 kW, decreases to the minimum of AFIR 50 kW, and thus no longer needs to provide a credit card station. However, this is not a completely new charging station: Hyc49 is actually Hyc50, but with 100 w According to Mobility House, HYC49 technically depends on HYC50 and is simply formed to 49.9 kW in the factory. The company says: “This is done on the side of the program via the download file and it is permanently effective,” the company says.
Although there is no payment station, the parties concerned still can access “all the familiar payment options: allocated payment (fast response code) or traditional shipping cards, as well as applications via EROAMING”, according to the company. The ingredients and charging are also supported. It is still possible to modify the payment station on request. However, according to the mobility house, this will bear the costs of about 2500 euros.
The mobility house is required at a total price of about 22,260 euros for the Hyc49 Hypercrger model itself. Delivery time is from three to four months. It is currently not clear if Hyc49 can also be requested directly from Alpitronic. The manufacturer of infrastructure does not include charging the form on its website. The editorial team has already conducted an investigation on this topic. We will give the answer as soon as we receive.
By the way, the company also requires the same price for HYC50 – without a payment station. Delivery time is also three to four months. New and current HYC50 models can be suffocated to 49.9 kW with intervention in the program. However, this does not correspond to AFIR guidance, as the product designer is for 50 kW, and is technically capable of presenting this. So the payment station is still required for this alternative.
