Ford sold a record number of Mustang Mash in August. Despite the customs tariff on Mexico-built electricity crosses, 2025 Mach-E is cheaper and better than 2024 version. It was the electrification for the auto industry, including hybrid, hybrid component and EVS, the highest sales of August ever.
Ford EV sales reached new horizons in August. The auto company sold 10,671 units combined from Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning and E-Transit last month, which represents 19.3 % growth in the same period last year.
The largest part of the sales was driven by Mustang Mach-E, which ranked among the most popular electrical transmission operations in America since it was first sold in late 2020. Dearborn Automank sold 7,226 Mach-AS last month, an increase of 35.3 % on an annual basis and the highest monthly total ever.
The F-150 Lightning performance was also good, as it recorded 21.2 % sales growth with 3,217 units. Meanwhile, electronic shipping truck sales decreased by 76 % to only 228 units.
Despite their age, Ford EVS is well steadfast. Mach-E, more than four years old, got a major update for 2026. It was designed in Mexico, the updated version has become cheaper this year despite the new tariffs. It now comes with a standard heat pump for a better set of cold weather and the latest Bluecruise (AdAS) system with automatic changes in the corridors.
Ford also offers a free 2 -level home charger and installed since last year to its EV customers.
Ford hybrid sales increased by 14.5 % in August, with 18,773 units. The brand collects hybrid and gas models sales only, so it is not clear that the number of units are sold exactly for individual hybrid models. However, the sales of the entire electric cars, including EVS, hybrid, and hybrid, have grown by 16.2 % on an annual basis, with a total of 29,444 units.
Analysts expect standard EV sales in the third quarter with buyers rush to demand federal tax credit of $ 7,500, which ends on September 30. Experts expected a potential slowdown in the fall, although the market has not yet shown the cooling mark. General Motors, Hyundai and Kia, also reported August August EV this week.
However, Ford cannot rely on Mach-E and F-150 Lightning forever. After many delay and billions of dollars in losses, the auto industry is changing this. Ford will launch a new electric truck claiming to start from $ 30,000, completely new brown ride and will be made using various manufacturing operations radically.
This truck is scheduled to be in 2027, and it is just a kind of Ford reset that will need to maintain competition in the EV market after the tax.
