
Hayden Engelis, a 21 -year -old gas engineer, was identified from Glasgow, as the first “trainee” of “awards”.
Hayden was chosen from a brief list of three distinguished candidates in the country, and the judges’ admiration for his “enthusiasm, passion and desire for success” in addition to his initiative, problem solving skills and the ability to support others.
Hayden recently completed MLP & ACS at the LCL Awards Center in Scotland, a gas certificate company, after vocational training at Glasgow Kelvin College.
The “General Trainer” award, presented by the leading certificate in the United Kingdom in 2025, was presented, and the “Trainee General” award is recognized by the individual who has completed any qualification for the LCL awards and transcends the learning journey – by showing flexibility against challenges, excellence in practical or academic performance, or the positive impact on their peers and industries.
The General Trainer Award was presented at the annual award ceremony in Birmingham on June 26. Before Andy McKenab, the owner of the Gas Certificate Company, the cup on behalf of Hayden. In August, Neil Ovinen, LCL Awards director, traveled to Glasgow to present Hayden with his collection of tools.
Speaking of his victory, Hayden said: “I feel wonderful about that! The news came out of the blue color when Idand called me from the award ceremony to tell me that I won. I am very excited – it is really good to recognize my hard work. I learned a lot through my vocational training in the gas certificates company. The practical experience is what I enjoy more – work on the tools and I became a better engineer every day.”
Hayden’s gas professional training at Glasgow Kelvin College at the age of 18, inspired by his father, is a director and engineer of gas compliance. When there was an impression from the beginning, his teacher realized the strong understanding of artistic concepts and passion for their application in the scenarios of the real world. His teachers and director describe him as a great and reliable teacher and natural guides-whether in the classroom or on the site.
Joy Kelly, Hayden’s teacher, participated in the praise gas certificate company: “Hayden’s capabilities to infection and provide deliberate solutions. He takes the initiative to solve problems, and he often searches for technical issues independently and shares the results he reached with his engineers in the guidance, and offers him to his cooperation. It already provides a useful contribution to the profession.”

The end of 2025 was the qualifying in the finals, Gavin Charnoc (Gas Training and Assessment ACS, South Wales) and Joshua Scott (Logic4training, LUTON). The winners were chosen by a committee of industry experts – Charlotte Lee, CEO of the HPA, Stewart Clements, Director of the Hot Water Industry Council (HHIC), Hatti Hassan MB, CEO of Stopcocks and women’s lawyer in trading and Brett Forster, NAPIT Training Chair.
LCL – The “The Awards” was launched in 2024 as part of the twentieth anniversary celebrations of the Organization Grant Organization. The opening groups have approved the best green, electrical and gas centers, as well as the most comprehensive and creative initiatives. The General Trainer and Community Participation Classs are new to 2025. The prizes offer exceptional achievements for LCL Awards Training Centers.
