I spent most of the week to write about the growth of EV sales, as many car manufacturers have registered in the third quarter in the United States. As a short cancellation, a year more than a year:
This looks amazing, but there were also many disappointing stories. There were car companies that did not have significant growth in EV sales, or even witnessed the decrease in EV sales on an annual basis! I don’t know what these companies are doing or what executive officials were thinking about this opportunity, but there were also many of them. I will not spend much time on these companies – they do not deserve their own articles – but here is a set of its results (comparison of Q3 2025 and Q3 2024):
Acura ZDX decreased by 40 %, from 2647 sales to 1580 sales. BMW IX decreased by 33 %, from 4,679 sales to 3,136 sales. Lexus RZ decreased by 43 %, from 2,742 sales to 1560 sales. Nissan (Ariya Plus The Leaf) decreased by 61 %, from 10,066 sales to 3,934 sales. Subaru Solterira decreased by 7.5 %, from 3,752 sales to 3,471 sales. Toyota BZ4X 27 % decreased, from 4,109 sales to 3,015 sales.
Do not inspire things there.
There are also companies that have not reported their results, so we have to wait a little longer to see how they did.
However, if you believe that every car industry company has witnessed a significant growth in EV sales due to all the positive addresses that we wrote about various car manufacturers, then it is clear that there are still many arrears and some companies really failed to take advantage of the moment for one reason or another.
