Tesla has launched an opt-in offer for its newly released Full Self-Driving (FSD) software for all eligible cars in Australia and New Zealand.
FSD Supervised was released last month, making it the first right-hand drive markets in the world to get this premium technology. At the time, this program was available on all new vehicles as an option at the current price of $10,100, with a monthly subscription coming soon.
Now, the company has announced that subscriptions have begun in Australia and New Zealand. In a post on X, the company shared: “FSD supervised subscriptions are now available in Australia and New Zealand.”
Anyone with an eligible vehicle capable of running Hardware 4.0 (also known as AI4) in Australia can sign up for $149 per month. In New Zealand, the price is $159 per month.

For customers who already have the Enhanced Autopilot package, upgrades are also available with prices starting at $75 per month.
According to Tesla, existing customers can upgrade to any of the subscriptions from their app: “You can do this from the Tesla app. Click on the product tile to see the availability of the feature for your vehicle.”
Within the app, FSD Supervised is located under the “Upgrades” section:
Upgrades > Software Upgrades > Subscription
This sparked some excitement from some eligible car owners, with one saying: “What a beauty! Download the inbox!!”

It’s also worth noting that the program is not currently available for older Hardware 3-equipped vehicles, so the subscription service will not be available to these owners, much to their frustration. See: “I only want what I paid for”; Tesla’s first Australian customer unhappy with FSD treatment
