The 22nd Annual Women in HVACR (WHVACR) Conference, held October 6-8, 2025 in Las Vegas, brought together trade leaders from across the country for three days of connections, learning and inspiration. The event’s theme – “Bet on Yourself” – proved to be a winning hand for the craftswomen who took Vegas by storm!
As a champion level sponsor of WHVACR, Nexstar Network was honored to support the much-anticipated event again this year. Team members hosted a booth, networked with attendees, and participated in many educational and engaging sessions that filled a very robust conference schedule.
A national non-profit organization blazing a trail for women in the professions, Women in HVACR develops and supports women in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration fields. Through scholarships, professional development programs, and close collaboration with trade schools, WHVACR opens doors and creates pathways for women to achieve bright futures in the professions.
“Every year, the Women in HVACR Conference reminds me why I am so passionate about this industry,” said Carrie Fraser, Nexstar vice president of sales and marketing. “The energy, connections, and growth – both personally and professionally – are inspiring.”
Carey attended the event alongside Ilse Larsen, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Nexstar. Together they met members, strategic partners and business professionals from across the country.
“One of the most powerful things I see at this event is the exchange between the young professionals and the seasoned veterans,” Curry added. “There’s no ego, just genuine curiosity, and mutual respect. It’s incredible to see decades of experience being shared alongside new perspectives, with both sides learning from each other. This kind of openness is what makes this organization so impactful.”
Carey explained that Nexstar remains committed to helping support the growth and development of women in the professions, a mission that aligns with WHVACR’s focus on education, mentorship and leadership.
“Watching this organization expand its reach and deepen its impact has been exciting,” Carey said. “It’s an event I look forward to being a part of every year.”
