FL, NY – Remee Wire & Cable, a leading manufacturer of electronic and electrical wires and cables, announced the launch of the new VoltGuard600™ Series, offering a popular selection of building wire used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. This new line is designed to safely transmit electricity through branch circuits, feeders and service entrances, among other applications. Remee offers a distinct advantage by combining multiple UL types into one cable, allowing it to be used in both wet and dry applications.
Remee’s VoltGuard600™ products cover all UL listings for all voltages and installation environments, including UL 83, UL 1581, UL 44, UL 854, and CSA C22.2 No. 38, C(UL) and NEC NFPA 70. VoltGuard600™ cables feature copper conductors, insulated or sheathed with materials such as PVC, XLPE and nylon. They are rated at 600V (many up to 1kV) with specific temperatures, generally -40°C to 90°C dry or wet.
VoltGuard600™ cables are typically installed in ducts, raceways or cable trays, however some can be directly buried or used for underground service entrances.
The VoltGuard600™ construction wiring line includes:
XHHW-2 – with XLPE insulation; 600V/1KV rating, handles -40°C to +90°C wet or dry; Resistant to flame, moisture and sunlight. Typical installations include conduit, cable trays, and external feeders for commercial/industrial buildings. RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 – with XLPE insulation, 600V/1kV rating, handles from -40°C to +90°C wet or dry; Flame, corrosion, sunlight, moisture resistant; Ideal for indoor dry locations that require additional mechanical and flame protection or for outdoor or underground feeders where cables encounter moisture, sunlight or burial conditions; Typical installations include service entrance conductors, feeders, and branch circuits within buildings, in conduit, raceways, and conduits, in dry or wet locations. THWN-2/THHN – with PVC insulation and nylon jacket, 600V rating, -40°C to +90°C dry or wet; Thinner insulation than XLPE wire, good resistance to abrasion, chemicals and sunlight than nylon jacket; Versatile general purpose indoor/outdoor cord, ideally suited when the same cord faces wet and dry conditions; Typical installations include residential and commercial branch circuits, control wiring, feeder paths, branch circuits, and service entrances in both dry and wet/wet locations. Copper Ground Wire – The VoltGuard600™ ground wire features bare copper and tinned copper conductors, solid or stranded, with insulation options.
Remee’s VoltGuard600™ covers all UL listings for all voltages and installation environments. Combining multiple UL types, VoltGuard600™ cables provide maximum flexibility and versatility by having both wet and dry ratings.
