The BYD Dolphin EV has a permanent magnet synchronous motor at the front. The motor will be offered in two output options: 70kW/180Nm, and 130kW/290Nm.

The BYD Dolphin EV has a range of 420 km and 401 km for both engines, respectively. Each version of the BYD Dolphin is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and 7.5 seconds.

The Dolphin is one of the first European electric vehicles in the Ocean series to apply the design concept of “Ocean Aesthetics”. The front-wheel drive system of the BYD Dolphin is powered by a BYD 60kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery. The BYD Dolphin is manufactured using the innovative Cell to Pack (CTP) technology. This technology provides better aerodynamics and greater safety.
The BYD Dolphin EV is equipped with a 44.9 kWh BYD LFP Blade battery. The EV also has a 60 kW fast charging facility.

The BYD Dolphin EV features a 12.8-inch floating central control screen, a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel, and a 5-inch full LCD instrument panel. The electric car will have many other cool features such as electric outside mirrors, front parking radar, seat belt warning lamp, etc.
Features such as a six-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat, a rear center armrest with cup holders, front seat heating, and a four-way electronically adjustable passenger seat make the BYD Dolphin EV even more efficient.

This electric car is currently available in China. The electric car starts at CNY 1,16,800, which is equivalent to Rs 13.9 lakh. The top-of-the-line BYD Dolphin EV is priced at CNY 1,36,800, which is equivalent to Rs 16.3 lakh.
This electric car was launched in China recently, and the company has not yet revealed when it will be launched in India.
