Are continuing education courses considered part of university credits?
No, our courses are not intended for university credit. However, some courses may be eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEU) or Professional Development Units (PDU).

What are continuing education courses?
Continuing education courses are designed for personal and professional development. Typically, adults who take continuing education courses are working toward a personal and professional goal, such as acquiring a new skill for the workplace, advancing their career, or simply learning how to stimulate intellectual growth.

What happens when I finish the course?
Upon successful completion of the course by passing the final exam, your Certificate of Completion will be available for download in your online classroom.

How is the final exam done?
Although you have one attempt to pass the final exam, you have the option to save, review, and even print your answers before submitting them. If you are unsuccessful in passing the final exam, you can contact Student Support to learn about your options.

How are courses classified?
Your grade for the course is based on passing the final multiple-choice exam on your first attempt. While the lessons include assignments and tests, they are not mandatory and will not affect your grade. The minimum passing score for the final exam is 65.

What if I need help after registering?
If you have questions about course content, instructor-led courses feature a “discussion area” where you can communicate with the instructor. Any questions regarding interruptions, transfers, refunds, progress reports, or password and email changes are handled by our Student Support department.

How do self-paced courses work?
Self-paced courses are open-enrollment courses, which means you can enroll and start the course at any time that is convenient for you. After enrolling, you will receive all lessons immediately and have access to the course content for three months. Self-paced courses do not include extensions.

Are extensions available for instructor-led courses?
At the end of the two-week final exam period, an additional 10-day extension is automatically granted to complete any remaining course material. No additional extensions are granted after these 10 days.

How do instructor-led courses work?
Instructor-led courses run on a rolling monthly basis, with four available start dates. After enrolling, you will receive new lessons on a set schedule over a period of six weeks. Two lessons are released each week – one on Wednesday and one on Friday. The final exam is released back-to-back with lesson 12. You will then have two weeks to complete the exam.

What is the difference between instructor-led and self-paced courses?
Instructor-led courses are designed for structured group learning. These courses feature an instructor-led discussion board so you can interact with your course group. Self-paced courses are designed for completely independent learning, without instructor supervision or group discussion.

Are courses with a course start date different from those without?
Yes. If the course has a session start date, it is an “instructor-led” course. Courses without a session start date are “self-paced” courses.

No, our courses are designed to be flexible in terms of enrolment, meaning you can enrol at any time of the year. However, courses may have a specific start date.

What can I expect from an online course?
Although content varies by subject, all courses include a textbook and a final exam. Many courses also include supplemental learning materials, such as assignments, tests, audio, video, graphics, and hands-on labs.

No, our courses are entirely online. You can work on the course materials wherever and whenever you have an internet connection.
