The 2025 Toyota Sequoia full-size SUV receives minor changes while continuing to offer the standard hybrid powertrain.
For 2025, the Sequoia adds optional massaging front seats, a new Mudbath color option for the TRD Pro off-road grade, an optional wireless trailer camera system, and a new 1794 grade with Western-themed decor that sits near the top of the lineup. .

Pricing starts at $64,120 (all prices include $1,945 destination charge) for the base, rear-wheel-drive Sequoia SR5. The Limited grade sits just above the SR5 at $70,520. All-wheel drive is a $3,000 option on SR5 and Limited models, but standard on higher grades. These higher grades include Platinum, which starts at $81,265, the aforementioned TRD Pro ($81,990), 1794 ($82,080), and Capstone ($85,610).
All Sequoia models use the same hybrid powertrain, shared with the Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with an electric motor in its bell housing. This setup is good for 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, allowing a maximum towing capacity of 9,250 pounds.

EPA fuel economy ratings for the 2025 Toyota Sequoia are 22 mpg combined (21 mpg city, 24 mpg highway) for rear-drive models and 20 mpg combined (19 mpg mpg city, 22 mpg highway) for all-wheel drive models.
While General Motors once offered it briefly, the Sequoia is the only full-size hybrid SUV on sale in the United States today. That will change soon, as Stellantis plans to launch long-range hybrid versions of the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer next year. Ford’s new focus on hybrids could also lead to a hybrid version of the Expedition, perhaps using a version of the powertrain found in the current F-150 hybrid pickup truck.
