Charged electric vehicles | Designing safer battery management systems using HIL simulation tools: white paper

Sponsored by Chroma.

Improving the efficiency and safety of electric vehicles depends on an effective battery management system (BMS).
For BMS in cars, it is important to note that the battery pack is not directly connected to the engine.

Instead, it interacts through relays and fuses. Any interruption or abnormal connection between these components can lead to unexpected increases in impedance. Since the voltage and current flowing from the battery to the motor are large and fluctuate frequently, increased impedance can cause the system to heat up and become unstable.

Download this whitepaper to learn how hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test modules can provide a voltage and insulation resistance simulation package that allows users to easily perform BMS testing.
