Last summer, I received a call from Dave and Dana’s neighbors asking for my Tesla referral code. They paid my own Y and decided to get one for themselves. No one has asked me this information before, so it took a little drilling to find it. After a few days, I received an email from Tesla saying that my referral reward – dinner with Elon or something like that – was confirmed. I haven’t heard anything more for a while and I just assumed that there will be another model in the parking lot. I was then informed that my referral reward was canceled. Shortly later, I only looked at my window to see my neighbors coming out of the Red extinguishing engine, Chevie Blazer EV.

So here is the story. Apparently, they made a mistake in visiting the local Chevy merchant and they were seduced by this jacket sitting a lot. The car is definitely red! Dana gave her a affectionate title. It is called a cherry bomb! It looks good. Where the Y is all liquid lines, the EV jacket is more chunky. Gen Motors car is designed for a long time. He once had a world -famous Harley Earl as head of the Art and Colors Department, where he created a series of iconic cars, including Buick Y Epic function. The company has always had a finger on the pulse of American tastes, and Blazer EV does a great job to take advantage of American car culture today.

It is less than a suburb, but it is definitely not a sedan. There are a little of the station’s vehicle as well. If you worried a little bit, you can see just a hint of Chevy Nomad who already assembled Corvette in 1955. The Bedouin was the car that was perfectly suitable for “see the USA in your Chevrolet” advertising campaign that has become popular by Dina Shore. Bring this atmosphere at the present time and add a little Brawn to capture the expression of today’s design is a major blow from Chevrolet. It is easy to see why Dave and Dana found themselves fond of this car. Did you mention that? red?

Ev jacket some of the teething problems. Entry to the showrooms has been delayed due to multiple software problems that were weakening early cars. When Edmonds bought one for its test fleet, the car refused to work properly. On a trip to San Diego – to attend the Chevy Media event – the car showed eight different warning messages in one day. “On only one trip from Los Angeles to San Diego and returning, the EV jacket moved completely to Fritz. This is only the beginning.” Along the way, “the window keys refused to work. Then the information and entertainment screen fully melted, stuck in an endless episode of closing, operating, displaying a map focused in the middle of the Pacific, and returning again. He did so until we got out of the highway and restarted The car was fine after the re -setting, but after an hour, it happened again.

Initially, Blazer EV was supposed to be available with four trim packages – LT 1, LT 2, RS and SS. LT 1-Motor 1 and SS is not yet available, so buyers have LT or RS version. Both have a 85 kW battery and double engines. The price of LT, according to the Chevrolet website, is $ 43,690*. You see this star? This is where Chevrolet explains: “Incentives are less than MSRP. Tax, ownership, additional agent license and fees apply. Residence restrictions apply. Not available with some other offers. See the agent for details.” Roba price is $ 47,095 with the same star. Both cars have an estimate of the Environmental Protection Agency from 279 miles. RS is equipped with some additions, but LT My Acreated was far from the Barebones. It had every feature available, including the slot of the tunnel roof and the large slip.

This review is not related to technical details. I did not go out the wheels to measure the diameter of the brake tablets, for example. The purpose of this was to get some of the time of the seat in the EV jacket and compare it to the Tesla model that has been driving his car over the past three years. My impressions started with appearance. I love it! The car is not like Tesla, but this is intended. It has a more brutal attraction, like a forest cat that prepares to pounce. Dana says she finds that the hood is longer than she – her previous car was Chevy Bolt, is much shorter than the EV jacket.

So, how does the EV jacket driving look? In one word – cheerful. It has the same urgency under the acceleration of the model Y, and the same renewed aggressive braking, which are one of the features of the electric car that drivers seem to be more appreciated than others. There are more than the electric motors than you are used to, but this is not bad. In fact, I think that Chivi engineers thought about it a lot and decided to give the car a more powerful experience than Tesla. Where the model is roaming in silence near silence and jacket. However, in stable driving, it is calm like the Y. Various blows for different people. This is why they make coke and Pepsi – people love options. The car is also very spacious from the inside, with a generous head and thigh room.

I like that Blazer EV still contains handles that can glow to adjust the fan speed or radio size, and the actual stems on the steering column. It seemed as if someone could rent one and feel almost at home almost – something good, in my opinion. The journey is flexible and smooth, fragile shift, one -layer driving is easy to do. I would also like to have a control panel control that allows the driver to adjust the required level of regenerative braking. Tesla drivers can do something similar, but it requires knowing how to navigate the menus on the touch screen, which is almost not comfortable.

Dave and Dana leads back and forth between Florida and the Middle West regularly. It was important with the bolt, but it is much easier with Blazer EV because they can use the Tesla Supercharger network along the way. Dave says he saw more than 150 kW while shipping, but soon moves to about 100 kW. The Y model may have an advantage in the charging section, but unless you use SuperLab every day, the difference decreases to a few additional minutes per year – barely enough to influence the main purchase decision.

In the final analysis, did Chevrolet obtained directly on the EV jacket? In other words, is it a convincing electric car? I think the answer is yes. It is different from the model y but not less efficient. In fact, it may have a more pregnant ability at the back thanks to the square Liftgate and the upper roof line. The buyer wants options, and Blazer EV is an excellent choice for many people who are considering buying their first electric car.
