Tesla China’s new vehicle recordings have seen a noticeable increase in the week ranging from April 21 to 27, 2025. Throughout the week, electric car maker records have witnessed an impressive increase of 51 % per week, indicating that domestic car delivery operations rise again.
The results of Tesla China
In the week ending April 27, Tesla China 10300 witnessed new vehicles. This represents a remarkable increase in the company’s registration numbers in the past weeks of April. For the context, Tesla China 3600 witnessed registration in the week ending April 6, 5400 registrations in the week ending April 13, and 6780 registrations per week ending April 20, 2025.
Given that April is the first month of the second quarter, the expectations were high that Tesla China was allocating Giga Shanghai Vehicle Export Production. With 10300 registrations in the week ending April 27, the local delivery operations of the company appear to escalate again.
Tesla China does not report weekly sales numbers, although a general idea of the company’s general installation in the local auto sector can be deduced through new vehicle records. Fortunately, these records are closely tracked by industry monitors, as well as some local auto manufacturers such as Li Auto.
Tesla Model 3 and Model y in focus
Tesla China produces the Y and Model 3 in Giga Shanghai. Both cars are also exported from China to foreign regions. According to industry monitors, both Model 3 and Model Y witnessed an increase in records in the week ending April 27.
Form 3, for example, appears to have seen 3200 registrations in the week ending April 27, an increase of 14 % of 2800, which was recorded in the week ending April 20. Tesla China only witnessed 1500 new 3 -style records in the week ending April 13 and 1040 records per week.
On the other hand, the Y 7100 model witnessed the week ending on April 27. This is 77.5 % of 4000 registered in the week ending April 20. Tesla also saw 3900 registration in the week ending April 13, and 2540 registrations per week ended on April 6.
