Greg Mackensi, the famous rye electrician, dies in 79

Greg Mackenzie, 79, died of Ray, New York on August 23, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father and uncle. His friends and family described him as “Winch” and “Sparki”.

As a lifelong resident in Ray, he was born in Port Chester on November 18, 1945. Greg was the son of Dorothy Dar and Bruce Alexander McKenzi.

Greg received a local education before he started his career in the field of electrical contracting in 1965. He became the smallest electric licensed in Witchester at the age of seventeen. Besides his wife, he served local communities and oceans for more than 60 years with Mackeenzie Electrical, which was established in the year they married. Another contractor was described as “all other electricity electricity.”

Greg’s real passion for award -winning antique cars. His interest in the details and the history of vehicles was not flawed. During his life, the 1931 Beck August truck, Boik Rhodester truck, and a rare bed truck in Indiana, called “Indian”, called “Indian” in 1917.

He was a thirsty mosque of antique electrical meters, paintings and equipment. He had an encyclopedia knowledge of the history of commercial and residential electrical services and was often called to provide an adviser to other electrical contractors.

He survived his wife, Barbara Mackenzie, who married her on December 4, 1965 and the other half of his successful works. He often said that he “could not do it without it.” He also survived his daughter Kerry McKinsey Rabisanarda.

He was a dedicated and enthusiastic member at the Contect Yanky branch at the Antique Truck Club in America.
