Last Minute Christmas Gift Idea – Rivian! (hopefully)

Do you have someone in your life that you love and appreciate but don’t know what to give them for Christmas? Maybe they got everything they needed, and even a little more. We’ve all been there. I came up with this idea this week out of a few things, and it’s an easy last minute option that doesn’t require a trip to the store (or hoping the online delivery arrives on time).

At my youngest daughter’s school, I discovered that teachers and teacher aides sometimes receive lottery tickets as gifts. Now, a one in a billion chance isn’t great, but it made me think it was a different and interesting idea for a gift. Better than any other candle! Imagine if the teacher won…

Well, as you know if you follow CleanTechnica closely, we’ve partnered with ISEA for years to support their electric vehicle raffles, solar advocacy, education, and activism. This year, the raffle will be held on Rivian. It’s still a lottery, but only 2,500 tickets have been sold, and even if you don’t win, you’re supporting progress in solar energy.

Rivian has also been on your mind a lot this week. The company held a major event on Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence Day. It’s Georgia Veteran Training and Employment. It is preparing to produce R2. As I wrote a couple of days ago, the political shenanigans of Elon Musk and his legacy product lineup combined with legacy US automakers pulling out of their EV plans could leave Rivian with a huge opportunity to scale, grow, and turn a profit.

So, yeah, if you want to help someone jump on the Rivian train in the cheapest way possible (with some luck), go get them — or yourself — a lottery ticket or four. It’s $100 for one ticket or $300 for four. (And hey, CleanTechnica will take one too!)
