REVO Lighting has announced the launch of the RDL series of architectural downlights. This downlight family features a variety of cutting-edge features.
The RDL family of modular downlights is designed around two light engine options: one with a 20W/15W/10W IC rating – selectable and also 3-CCT selectable, and a second that is non-IC, 40W, 3-CCT selectable. This motor is then coiled and locked coupled with reflectors + trims that come in 4, 6, 8 and 10 inch openings. Additionally, there are round, square, round, and square wall washer versions, in all four diameter sizes. A unique surface-mounted model is designed specifically for wet locations.
Another important feature is the built-in J-box for direct mounting connection, eliminating the hollow enclosure. The compact J-box also eliminates the time and cost of installing a traditional J-box for each installation.
The 20W/15W/10W IC light driver has 1500 lumens, and the 40W non-IC driver has 3200 lumens. A 3-CCT selector switch on both motors allows options of 3000K, 3500K or 4000K CCT. The entire family allows any RDL downlight to replace up to 12 fixed wattage and CCT models, reducing inventory for both contractors and distributors.
Other notable features include 120-277 VAC input voltage, white or “misty” (metallic) finish, cULus wet location list, ENERGY STAR certification, optional new build tire kit, optional emergency driver, and 0-10V dimming standard up to 10%.
“The new RDL Architectural Ceiling Lights offer exceptional versatility and modularity, while at the same time eliminating the recessed case and separate J-box. Specifiers, contractors and distributors have responded enthusiastically to their vision,” said Sam Sinai, CEO of REVO Lighting.
