DMF Lighting Unveils M Series Multi-Head Downlighting Range –

Driver options allow dimming of up to 0.1% through individual unit head control

DMF Lighting has launched the M Series Multiples, a versatile multi-head family featuring a choice of one, two or three head configurations. The 4-inch adjustable units (LED lighting engines) feature a modular design (housing, module and fixture), and allow 360-degree swivel and 45-degree tilt for precise aiming for retail, hospitality and commercial applications.

Uniquely, the drivers are integrated into the light drive units against the chassis, so units equipped with quick connects can be easily swapped out via roof access. Both the modules and optical distributions can be changed on site, allowing maximum flexibility when targeting a project or any design changes, as well as serviceability.

“The modular design of our M Series Multi with interchangeable modules and optics, plus roof access, makes serviceability and design changes simple,” said Ken Cheek, vice president of new product development, DMF Lighting. “Think of how retail stores or hotel lobbies keep changing their shooting displays. Factoring in LM-84 testing, the documented reliability is truly unparalleled.

M Series multi-unit testing goes beyond the traditional LM-80, up to LM-84 testing, with published results for proven performance and reliability.

The M Series multiples feature tool-less field-interchangeable optics that include 15, 25 and 40 degrees spread, as well as linear spread (60 degrees by 30 degrees) and a soft focus option to meet every application need. Color temperature options include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, dim warm (3000K – 1800K) and tunable white (4000K – 1800K and 6500K – 2700K) with a 93-color rendering index. Color diversity is maintained within a two-step MacAdam oval for unparalleled quality and consistency across the entire building campus.

High-quality molded monohull trim styles include square trim (single-headed product) or rectangular trim (two- and three-headed constructions) available in black and white or a custom color, as well as edgeless trim for seamless integration.

Driver options include 0-10V dimmable, TRIAC/ELV up to 1% dimming, or up to 0.1% dimmable drivers with DALI-2 drivers for the fast-growing Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) lighting control protocol. Each unit head can be controlled individually.

The downlight system features a sustainable design and meets California Title-24 JA8, ENERGY STAR®, Declare Listed for Living Building Challenge and LEED standards. The fixtures are RoHS compliant, wet location listed and NSF/ANSI 2 listed, so they are suitable for sprinkler areas, and ideal for restaurants. Downlights are designed to last 50,000 hours.
