Utta -based RPLUS Energies recently held the leading ceremony of the Green River Energy Center, a 400 -megawatt solar battery storage project and 400 megawatts/1600 megawatts in East Utah. Tesla Megapacks will be used as a battery storage solution in the next facility.
At 400 megawatts/1600 megawatts, the Green River Energy Center is expected to become one of the largest solar energy storage projects under development in the United States. Once operation, the facility will provide energy to Pacificorp under the Energy purchase agreement, as shown in a press release.
Utah Spencer Cox’s governor participated in raising the project during the pioneering event at the Green River Energy Center. According to the governor of Utah, the solar energy storage system and batteries are a noticeable step forward for the state’s sustainable energy efforts.

The Green River Energy Center got more than one billion dollars in financing construction debts earlier this year. The facility is also expected to create about 500 jobs, many of which will be filled with local workers. Time in mind, the solar energy farm and batteries are likely to serve as a batch of Emery County economy, the enhancement of tax revenues, promotion of public services, and providing long -term job opportunities for the population of the region.
Sundt Construction will work as a project contractor, Elite Solar will supply solar units, and Tesla will provide a battery storage system for the project. Luigi Rista, President and CEO of RPLUS Energies, noted that the Green River Green River Center is distinctive because of the entities that worked together to make the facility a reality.
